U.S. Representative Pete Stauber visits with Tobies Co- Owners Chris Hickle and Pam Zabrok

Chris Hickle and Pam Zabrok; Co-owners of Tobies Station Station/Bakery in Hinckley are the second MSSA members in the past month to host NACS’ “Instore” visits. Back on August 12th, Representative Pete Stauber (Rep. MN 8th District) spent an hour understanding the issues our members in the liquid fueling/c-store industry face on a daily basis.
Congressman Stauber spoke with store owners Chris Hickle, Pam Zabrok, MSSA Executive Director Lance Klatt and NACS’ counsel; Doug Kantor all of whom expressed concerns about the control Mastercard and Visa have in the credit card industry and costs associated with credit card fees. The liquid fueling industry is also plagued by labor mandates, commercialization of rest areas, labor shortages, and the hopes of selling year-round E-15.
Representative Pete Stauber spent time working behind the counter at Tobies Station speaking with Tobies customers and guests serving fresh caramel and cinnamon rolls to local and passer-by patrons. A great opportunity sharing the many challenges in our industry while providing an optimistic outlook for our industry and the support MSSA members provide to their communities.
